Graduate Programs

The Masters of Engineering Program (MEng)

The Master of Engineering program provides a graduate degree that focuses on an individual's ability to contribute to the technical workforce. It is differentiated from the Master of Science degree in that the MS is a research-based program. The MEng program is based on coursework and a capstone project; it does not require a thesis. Unlike the Master of Science degree, a student obtaining the Master of Engineering degree will typically not matriculate into a PhD program. The difference is not on the rigor of the coursework or a lack of competencies, but rather on the focus of the curriculum.
